Position: Dairy Commodity Trader
Working hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Location: Houston USA, with frequent travel to Mexico and other regions as required.

We recently opened our office in the US, which means you will have plenty of challenges ahead! You will manage existing and new trade and sales opportunities for multiple countries, with a focus on developing a customer portfolio in Mexico and extending the supplier base in the US. You will provide the best possible services to your suppliers and customers by actively building and leveraging your network. You will develop new relationships with customers and suppliers and help to develop further the logistics (truck/train/vessel/ storage). Furthermore:
But don’t worry, you won’t be taking a backseat in this role. You’ll be in the driver’s seat when it comes to planning transport (with the corresponding documents), answering customer-related questions in the best possible way, and keeping our logistics systems up to speed. After a thorough introduction, you will get started right away. You will be well guided, but we also expect independence and initiative.
- You will negotiate and conclude contracts, with a specific focus on the Mexican market. You will follow up on these contracts in close cooperation with your colleagues in the Logistics and Quality departments. You will also be responsible for minimizing risks.
- You will identify opportunities and respond to them accordingly, with a particular focus on the Mexican market.
- You will actively contribute to the commercial activities within the sales team through the intensive exchange of market intelligence and financial information.

You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and you are ready for an adventure! With your excellent communication skills and your strong client-oriented vision, you are more than ready to build a strong basis to develop our business further.
- You have a completed bachelor’s degree in an economic or market-oriented field such as (International) Business Administration, International (Agriculture) Trade.
- You are ready for the kick start of your career as a Trader or, preferably, you already have some international commercial experience (e.g., as a Seller, Trader, Export Manager, or Account Manager).
- You have excellent knowledge of the English and Spanish languages
- You preferably reside in the United States, with a preference for candidates in Houston, or willingness to relocate and you have a valid work permit.
